I haven’t been watching much of the Summer Olympics, but every once in a while I turn them on to see if something interesting is happening. The vast majority of NBC’s coverage, of course, centers on American athletes, yet something I came upon last night involving athletes from Italy and Qatar competing in the high jump personified pure joy. FYI, the height they cleared is the equivalent of more than 7’9″. Unfortunately, NBC won’t let me embed the video as the Picture Of The Day, so go watch it here.
