As you can see, I’ve debuted a new design for this website. It’s about time.

I have had Harris Online for over 20 years, but I haven’t made many changes to its look. In the early days, I did all the HTML coding myself, and the site was mostly text because graphics were a pain to load and store. The original logo was done by a friend’s son when he was in high school, and I’m happy to say that he’s gone on to have a successful web design career. Over a decade ago, I began using Google’s Blogger platform, which meant a lot less manual coding and gave this site a uniform look, while I maintained thousands upon thousands of audio and graphics files in the background.

For quite awhile, friends have urged me to leave Blogger and move onto WordPress, and I have finally heeded their advice, with the help of designer Kevin Brackett. The result is what you now see. I hope it makes it easier for you, the reader, to quickly see my most recent posts and navigate around the site, while retaining all the other information I’ve compiled since the late 1990s.

One note: if you previously bookmarked this site via a Blogspot URL, please delete that on both your laptop and mobile device. From now on, the URL to use is http://HarrisOnline.com (and my other site, http://HarrisChallenge.com, too!).
